Save the date!

We are very lucky and once again JMS Hockey will be hosting two games at the Xcel Energy Center-- mark your calendar for September 26. We will skate on Sunday evening. Details forthcoming--watch the JMS site for more info.

These will be Community Sessions and will include an option to buy tickets for the Wild home opener -- October 14 versus the Oilers. Plus... attendees at the Home Opener will receive a copy of the Minnesota Wild Year 10 calendar. Sweet!

We'll have more information soon, including an announcement for when signups for these sessions will open.

what a tease. great way to get me to check the website every 20 minutes to see if the session is posted, much to the chagrin of my family members.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited!
Its more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow.

Glad you're excited! Here's the link:http://www.jmshockey.com/xcel
It's on the tabs above between "Games" and "FAQ" too--

Can't wait to see you there!!

I realize that goalies have to pay since it's a special venue and I have no objection to that, but if we add funds to be able to sign up but then don't get a spot, those funds just sit in the account.

Nope -- while I don't always have track of which goalie has money on account (given that the X hullaballoo is a lot on my mind), every time a goalie has asked for the funds back, I've recredited. Even though I take a hit through the card processor for the refund. :)

Wow. That was a fast sign-up. Early session was full in 2 minutes. Later session had 16 skaters after 3 minutes. It was almost like trying to get tickets for a popular concert at the X as far as spots filling up quickly.

Interesting to see the number of newbies to JMS or those with only a couple skates under their belts got signed up. Is it for JMS or just to skate at the X?

I have wondered the same thing myself.
Of the 48 people signed up, five of them are playing their first game with JMS at the X.

I have notes out to all five and I will do all the e-mail back and forth to make sure they're at the right level. The last thing I want is some ex-Gopher in the early session with the newbies.
