So I have mulled around with the trying out playing AHA since hearing about it. Recently I figured out a way to finance playing just to find out I have to I have to register with the USA Hockey people and pay them money too.

My question is this. Is the fee for USA Hockey a one time deal?

Also, the whole breezers and helmet matching bit, I have to buy a new helmet or two helmets and breezers to play? Or are just the jerseys home and away?

That AHA site doesn't quite explain everything in depth.

Thanks!

Taylor

The USA Hockey (and MN Hockey - included in transaction) fees are a yearly fee. It covers insurance and certified refs.

Just jerseys and socks are home and away. Everyone on the team needs to have matching breezers and helmets, but only 1 set.

You have to have a helmet and breezers that match your teams helmet and breezers. The vast majority are black.

I am also playing in the aha this year for the first time the USA hockey thing is in most leagues. I think the whole helmet and breezers thing is bunk but atleast most teams use black. I have gone over in my head many times about diffrent leagues but I think the aha is the best around for adults new to hockey or who got a late start. Also I feel the aha really has there shtuff together and have a good program. Good luck and see you on the ice
